Only buying two or three games a year? Read this first
How to choose games that will not disappoint when you cannot buy many.

1Start with what you enjoy
Think about the last game you finished and why. If you loved the world, look at open worlds; if you loved the story, look at action stories and RPGs.
2Check the hours
A 100-hour RPG is great value, but only if you have the time. Short games can be the better buy for busy weeks.
3Use the Steam refund window
Steam generally offers refunds within 14 days of purchase if you played less than two hours. Check Steam's current refund policy before you buy.
4Wait for sales
Most games here are discounted several times a year. If a game is not urgent, add it to your wishlist.
